Mix-N-Match Skillet
I found this little gem from a library book years ago. All it takes is:
1 Soup
1 Meat (such as canned tuna or canned chicken breast)
1 Vegetable
1 Pasta
---Combine and stir all ingredients in a skillet. Bring to a boil in a skillet. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes covered. Serve!
---Plan your shopping around sales or a dollar store.
---Obviously, use coupons!
---Go to yard sales for kitchen items such as skillets, plates, boiling pots, crockpots, etc.
---Use a crockpot as often as you can! They are perfect for throwing this and that in to create masterpieces. There are numerous crockpot recipes on-line, such as found on Pinterest.
---Do
Atleast one Meatless Monday.
---Potatoes are the cheapest vegetable. When they are on sale for around $2.00 per ten pound bag, stock up on them! Freeze them as described below.
Frozen Potatoes
Use fresh potatoes.
Chop into chunks.
Do not expose to air very long.
Seal in freezer bag right away.
Thaw freezer bags in water in the morning (not in the fridge overnight). There are endless recipes for potatoes on-line, also.
Finally,
END wanting
EVERYTHING and be
CONTENT with what you have. Your wallet will be jealous!
