Quick Tip #9 Save Money by Turning the Water Off When Brushing Teeth

If you run the tap whilst you are brushing your teeth then the chances are that you are wasting over 12 litres a day based upon brushing your teeth twice a day. If you have a whole house hold that does this practice then your water wastage is going to be extremely high.

Instead, once you've wet your brush, simply turn the tap off until you are ready to swill and spit. The water saving is not only better for the environment, it's also kinder to your wallet. This is a great environmental practice to teach kids from a young age so that they too can grow up to be water efficient and understand the costs involved in water wastage both environmentally and financially.
