Sydney has now established itself as one of the most expensive cities in the world. However, tourism is still strong and rightfully so. With some of the world's most iconic attractions, award-winning restaurants and a calendar jam-packed with events, Sydney is a premier holiday destination.

With all that being said, you need a little money to enjoy everything that Sydney has to offer. One of the areas that travellers can cut back in are in accommodation costs. There are plenty of accommodation options in Sydney for those travelling on a budget.

Here are just a handful that are just a stone's throw away from the festivities.

Capitol Square Hotel
