Being a student can be challenging. There's lots of study involved, not to mention tests and exams. With the added pressure of financial costs, most students need to live on a very small budget.

Student Edge began in 2003 with four university students deciding there was a need to provide discounts and advice to fellow struggling students. Since then the business has grown substantially and their are now more than 610, 00 active members of Student Edge.
How to sign up?
It is free to sign up for a Student Edge Card and you can even choose the colour of your card. However you must at least be studying at High School, TAFE or University to apply.
What discounts are available?
There are some great regular discounts available when you show your Student Edge card. There are food discounts from Sumo Salad, McDonalds, Boost and Dominos Pizza. You can also get reduced prices on entertainment and clothing. For a list of all discounts check here.
Student Edge also provide limited time concessions. At the moment these offers are 20% off everything at Laser, free connection and no contract with Amnet Broadband and a free Quantas Frequent Flyer Membership.

If you are looking to earn some extra money, once you have signed up for Student Edge there are a myriad of listings for part-time, full- time and volunteer positions available. Or if you have some spare time and are feeling lucky, why not enter one of the competitions.
The website also offers some great free advice on budgeting, TAFE and uni courses, apprenticeships and traineeships.
