Ikea is well known for their range of home organizational products and cheap flat pack furniture. But unknown to some, the store also offers some great freebies and discount offers for those on a budget. Here are some of the savings they offer:
Free child play centre
Kids can easily get bored while furniture shopping, making it a stressful trip for both the children and parents. At Ikea you can drop off your kids at their supervised play area and enjoy some child free shopping time.

By joining their loyalty club you will receive emails with great discounts on selected products available every month. Frugal Meal Offers
Ikea also serves a great range of family friendly meals in their café style restaurant. The prices and offers do vary in each state but here’s what you can expect:
Adelaide: Provides free organic baby food with every adult meal purchase and a coffee and cinnamon bun for $3.50
NSW: Cheap breakfast deal starting from 99c and chicken parmigiana and chips for $8.99.
Perth: Fish and chips for $6.95 and enjoy a cooked breakfast on Saturday for only $2.50.
QLD: Free baby food with an adult meal, kids $1.95 cooked breakfast and $4.99 chicken wings and chips after 3pm on Thursday and Friday.
VIC: Medium serve of 15 Swedish meatballs and vegetables for $9.99, a serve of gluten free Pumpkin Cannelloni for $6.99 while a coffee and cinnamon bun is only $1.49.
Canberra residents can also look forward to shopping at Ikea, with a store set to open in late 2015.

Free Swedish Food Samples
Upon leaving the store, Ikea have a Swedish Food Market where you can purchase some of the lovely foods that are sold in the restaurant for you to prepare at home. There is also a tasting counter where you can sample various cookies, jams and drinks before you buy.
Cheap Food To Go
If you don't fancy a sit down meal, all stores also have a bistro where you can purchase food to go. On offer are $1 hotdogs, soft drink and a free refill for $1.50 as well as cheap pizza slices, hot doughnuts and ice creams.
