Do you ever read magazines and say, "Oh, I could never
afford that..." Well, this
April/May 2016 issue of
Taste Of Home has you covered.

Leiann Lynn Rose Spontaneo
Want to honor a bride-to-be, mom-to-be or any extra sunny day? (or for any rainey day for that matter...) Why not have an
iced tea party?
Make a little iced tea station with glasses, straws, lemon wedges and tasty nibbles.
Brew and chill your favorite tea and place also on the iced tea station.
Tea bags are so cheap at the local dollar store, where you may also buy the rest of the items except for lemons which is just a quick dash to the local grocery store.
Do you love eating healthy salads but cannot afford the
boneless skinless chicken breast at every setting? Well, there is a very economical salad recipe in this issue. One hint... What do college students live on?
Ramen noodles!
Page 48 has a recipe called
Crunchy Ramen Salad, which includes:
and finally, ramen noodles!
Not too shabby!
Finally, would you love an exquisite breakfast to wake-up to but cannot afford the ingredients let alone a personal chef? Page 76 has a
slow-cooker recipe called
Chorizo Breakfast Casserole. Personally, I like all of the ingredients
but the chorizo. So, I would you use
kielbasa instead. Along with
kielbasa, use:
and finally, ground pepper
All frugal ideas! Now you can say you tried something you found in a magazine and can smile!
