I recently received an invite to an exclusive opening launch party in Melbourne, with a glamorous dress code to match.
Now although I love fashion (vintage and second hand) I'm not much of a makeup person, so when it comes to an event like this, I usually get a bit stuck with what to put on my face and how.

Many years ago, I heard about makeovers that could be booked in at The Body Shop. I made some enquiries and sure enough, The Body Shop do organise makeovers for a cost of $40. Even better, the makeover cost of $40 is redeemable against any product in The Body Shop, so you could look at it two ways; you are either getting your makeover for free, or products for free. Not only are products from The Body Shop cruelty free and environmentally friendly, but makeovers are considerably cheaper than other stores which I am told cost anything from $80-90 or more.

They stock a large range of cruelty free make up
I booked my
premium makeover session with a makeup artist in store, and although I was told the session would be 45 minutes, she actually spent an hour on my makeup after our initial chat to work out what I wanted and the type of event I would be going to. Because I am not that familiar with makeup, I let her decide on colours and style, and I have to say, she did a great job.
For an hours work or even 45 minutes, I personally think this is great value, and will definitely book in again for a future function.

With products from The Body Shop you can make ethically sound make up and body care choices
Another bonus at the time, if you spend over $50 in The Body Shop, you receive a free $10 voucher to redeem before the end of September, so I spent a little more to get that too.
