Usually, any credit card that has an annual fee, also has an awards program. Basically, the way these program work enable you to receive points for every dollar you spend using your credit card.

My credit card is with the Commonwealth Bank and they also offer a free AMEX card - in which you received 2 points for every dollar you spend.
You can choose from a wide range of products and services to 'spend' your points on. Each awards program is different, so be sure to check out the specific details of your program.
We have used our points to purchase cordless phones, alarm clocks and an in-car DVD player. Since having children, we now use our points to purchase Event Cinema movie tickets. Movie tickets are now $19.50 per person. So by using our credit card points, we can afford to go to the movies for a date every now and then and know it's not going to take a chunk out of our budget.
Now, I must note here that we have never paid interest on our credit card. We use the credit card for all of our expenses during the month, to accumulate reward points, but then on the 1st of every month, we pay off the full balance on the card. This means we get maximum rewards for only the annual credit card fee of $50.
