Hosting an book exchange is an exciting way to recycle your unused books and obtain more useful books for free! Also, consider magazines and even DVDs!

Many people read Kindle books these days, but who does not still like an honest-to-goodness book made of paper to read?

First of all, send out invitations. Use invitations bought from the store to send by mail or send on-line invitations using Paperless Post.

Tell guests to bring as many books as they wish. Also, to keep this a money-saving idea, have guests bring some simple snacks.

Make sure to have enough boxes without lids to file books. Have the spine of the books showing for easy browsing and selection.

At the opening of the party, collect guests' books and file. Have volunteers serve drinks and let guests have snack time while this is going on.

Next, let guests go wild and shop! Watch how excited they get for some "new" and free books!
